Opening Hours
To access the services and rooms of Villa Marchese Tedeschi, we will observe the following times:
From Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 13:00 - 16:00 – 18:00 Saturday: 09:00 – 13:00
Sundays and holidays: Closed.
Library membership is free and open to all. Once registered, you'll have access to thousands of books and take advantage of the home lending service to read from the comfort of your own home.
How to register: Please show up at the counter with a valid ID and tax code. Minors require parental authorization.
Book Lending: You can borrow up to 2 books at a time.
Duration: The loan lasts 30 days, renewable if the book has not been reserved by other users.Villa Marchese Tedeschi offers bright and quiet spaces ideal for study and bibliographic research.
Users can freely consult the texts on the open shelves.
For particularly valuable works, encyclopedic volumes, or local sections, consultation is permitted exclusively on-site.
The library staff is available to provide assistance with research and the use of the bibliographic indexes.
The Historical Archive represents the "written memory" of Pozzallo.
It houses administrative documents, ancient maps, and registers that trace the fundamental stages of our city.
Access: Consultation of archive documents is open to scholars and enthusiasts.
To ensure targeted assistance and availability of materials, we recommend accessing this section on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or scheduling an appointment through official contact information.
In addition to the general collection, the Library manages specific collections to satisfy every reading need:
Children's Section: A welcoming environment dedicated to readers aged 0 to 16, with a collection ranging from illustrated books to adventure classics (Salgari, Verne) and contemporary successes.
Local Collection: A valuable collection of texts written by Pozzallo authors or relating to the history, art, and traditions of the province of Ragusa and Sicily.
