The 1950 Carnival represents one of the most vibrant and authentic moments of the collective memory of Pozzallo. In those years of fervor and reconstruction, the city "Born on the Sea" transformed its maritime identity into an extraordinary parade of artisanal ingenuity. The shipwrights and carpenters of the port, accustomed to forging the wood of boats, lent their knowledge to the construction of the first, monumental allegorical floats.
